| Brush & bulky | Picked up at the curb twice a year each (brush and bulky). You get a door hanger 7–10 days ahead, and the pile must be out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. The door-hanger date is your set-out date, not the pickup day, and collection can take up to a week. Piles: no more than 8 cubic yards, within 8 ft of the curb, in front of the house even if your trash goes in the alley. Don't set anything out before you get the door hanger. |
| Brush accepted | Shrubs, tree branches, woody vines. Not accepted: bulky items, tires, construction or roofing material, grass clippings, hazardous waste, plastic-bagged leaves, trash, soil and rocks. Mixed or late piles can be fined up to $2,000 per day. |
| Bulky accepted | BBQ grills, small pieces of carpet, car tires (6 or fewer, no rims), fencing, furniture, large appliances, mattresses, TVs (up to 3), water heaters. Not accepted: brush or yard waste, concrete, construction debris, glass and mirrors, hazardous waste, roofing, soil and rocks. |
